PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

PA Route 997 – Black Gap Road

·         Widening bridge from 3 lanes to 5 lanes

·         New and lengthened left turn lanes

Traffic Maintenance 

• PA Route 997 – one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction through the project from 6:00 to 9:00 A.M. and from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
   
• PA Route 997 – there will be some occasions when traffic will be limited to one lane, controlled by flaggers.  This work can occur only between 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. or from 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.
   
• Interstate 81 – two lanes of traffic must be maintained in each direction from 6:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.  When bridge beams are erected or removed, traffic will be restricted to a single lane with one 15-minute stoppage per hour between 11:00 P.M. and 5:00 A.M.
